National Weather Service SKYWARN® Seminar

This official SKYWARN® training session is open to the public and led by the National Weather Service. Learn how to recognize and report severe weather, a critical skill for amateur radio operators, emergency responders, and the general public alike.
This seminar covers:
Identifying severe weather patterns, the role of trained spotters in emergency response, best practices for reporting hazardous weather conditions .
Important Details:
✅ Open to the public—no amateur radio license required
✅ Training is free and led by the National Weather Service
✅ Registration is strongly recommended due to limited seating
✅ The program lasts approximately 2 hours, with a brief stretch break
✅ Recommended for ages 14 and older
